Luke’s presentation has been popular at past Show on the Road events and we expect the information to be as relevant as ever in this current landscape. The presentation will focus primarily on statewide employment, with some region-specific data included.
Wednesday, December 9: Admissions & Financial Aid Panel
Q&A panel session with admissions and financial aid professionals, with a specific focus on how institutions are adapting criteria and processes during the COVID-19 pandemic. You will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of institutions, including 2-year, 4-year, public and private, in-state and out-of-state. This is not your typical admissions Q&A, this is designed to address the changing needs of students applying to college in this uncertain time, and the counselors who support them.
Thursday, December 10: Counselor Corner
A workshop and networking opportunity to connect with counselors from all corners of the state! There will be three mini-breakout sessions within the hour--"Tools and strategies for streamlining communication to students and parents," "Brainstorming ways to approach college options during a pandemic," and "Self-care for counselors and maintaining boundaries when work is literally in your home." This hour-long session is split into three rotating breakouts so counselors have a chance to connect with each other and discuss a variety of topics.
