The Inclusion, Access, and Success Committee hosts a yearly ‘Show on the Road’ professional development conference for high school counselors in greater Minnesota. After meeting with area high school counselors, this event was part of a continued effort to bring professional development opportunities to out-state Minnesota.
Each year this event travels to a different destination providing counselors around the state with resources and presentations on topics such as hot topics in admissions, regional career forecasts, and financial aid. Through Show on the Road, the MACAC Counselor Toolkit was created to provide tools and resources for high school counselors to utilize in their daily work. At these events, three attendees won MACAC memberships, registrations, and travel to the Spring Conference in an effort to encourage further connection and involvement with MACAC.
